Healthy coping mechanisms I want Eddie to have next season:

- adopting a cat (i just feel like he's a cat person, not a dog one)

- taking care of houseplants/or starting a garden

- having get togethers with Linda where they gossip and bake sweets

- joining a boxing gym

- him and Buck going on hikes every weekend

- he end Chimney watching baseball (i don't know if its canon that they both like them, but I read it in a fic so it is now)

- Bobby and Athena going over to him at least once a week to have lunch with him (i think Eddie also needs to be parented by them)

- Hen and Karen sending him books (somehow always queer themed ones) and opening a bookclub of three

- Maddie and him actually forging a friendship and talking about the similarities in their life

Something something about us being shown Eddie developing his cooking skills before buck - that were shown Eddie being able to cook a full meal (and bake) before were shown Buck doing the same thing. And something something about that foreshadowing Eddie having his full feelings realisation before buck.

Eddie’s cooking skills are on display in 5x11 outside looking in when he cooks dinner for buck Chris and Taylor - and he’s baked cupcakes for desert as well.

But we don’t actually get shown buck cooking a full meal until the 6x01 lasagne. He’s only got as far as breakfast foods when he makes Maddie an omelet in 2x04 stuck but we don’t get shown him actively cooking again until he makes the lasagne.

After that its hit and miss on the cooking and baking front for buck - burnt lasagne in a 7 and I’m assuming his baking isnt that great in 8x07 by the way Chim has one bite and then pushes the loaf away before he masters the ziti, garlic bread etc in 807 and then later the scones in 8x08.

eddie turns into a literal man-baby when he catches a cold; i’m talking full on cannot take care of himself, gets super pouty and wraps himself up in a heavy blanket

buck watches drag race religiously, but has never told anyone because he doesn’t want people to think he’s weird….. even though half his found family are gay

eddie is still in a dispatch gc with maddie, may, linda, and josh and its mostly just josh and eddie being bitchy back and forth to each other

hen is secretly afraid of spiders but doesn’t want anyone to know- karen pranks her with fake spiders regularly

karen and eddie are besties and talk about buck and hen to each other— eddie ofc not realizing that he’s in move with buck, but karen absolutely tells hen all about it

buck has bought copies of all of chris’s school pictures and keeps them in his wallet
